Chevron Corp. recently announced an $800,000 gift to The University of Texas at Austin through its University Partnership Program, mainly to support programs in the McCombs School of Business, Cockrell School of Engineering and Jackson School of Geosciences, the primary areas where Chevron recruits employees.
At the Corporate Recognition Dinner on April 30, the McCombs School of Business honored BP, Intel, BBVA Compass, and Kathleen Farlow and Jonathan Trichel of Deloitte for their extraordinary partnership with the school.
The university is in the final year of the historic Campaign for Texas. On Friday, Feb. 21, the 9th Annual Alumni Business Conference was held at the AT&T Executive Education and Conference Center in Austin, TX. Richard W. Fisher, president and CEO of Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, was the keynote speaker. The speaker list also included Tom Gilligan, Greg Hallman, Brett Hurt, President Bill Powers, Raji Srinivasan, and Laura Starks.

On Wednesday, April 30, the McCombs School will honor three companies and two individuals for their exemplary contributions to and participation with the school at the Corporate Recognition Dinner.
