Thirteen teams of students from Michael Hasler's Procurement and Supplier Management class participated in a case competition designed and sponsored by Target.
John Daly, a professor with joint appointments in the McCombs Department of Management and the College of Communication Department of Communication Studies, has been named a distinguished scholar—the highest honor bestowed by the National Communication Association.
The Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences awarded Professor Leon Lasdon the 2010 INFORMS Impact Prize. Lasdon and his co-winners developed of Microsoft’s Excel Solver, a general-purpose optimization modeling system that has become an industry standard in the last 20 years.
