PepsiCo Sponsors BHP Class of 2017
Thanks to a pledge from PepsiCo, current Business Honors freshmen will enjoy unique opportunities and experiences over their four years in the BHP program.
For each BHP freshman class, the McCombs School of Business invites one corporate partner to become the sole sponsor, pledging $100,000 over four years to enable the Business Honors Program to create programs that will enhance student learning and experiences. PepsiCo's support has already enabled a recent workshop on personal branding to help students stand out in job interviews. Additionally, a case competition planned for next year will offer students hands-on experience with solving real issues facing companies.
BHP is more than just a top-rate education, it's a community. Special programming provides opportunities for students from all graduating classes to form strong, lasting relationships with one another. PepsiCo's recent $100,000 investment to sponsor the BHP Class of 2017 underscores its commitment to a high-touch, strong relationship to McCombs' top honors students. George Legge, CFO of Frito-Lay, says, "McCombs alumni, MBAs and BBAs alike, have a track record of success at PepsiCo. We are excited about expanding our strong partnership with the BHP program and look forward to working closely with the Class of 2017 to support their academic and professional growth."
"We are so grateful to PepsiCo for their commitment to BHP through class sponsorships. These partnerships allow us to have necessary funding to support our annual programming, provide our students with opportunities to interact with top companies, and allow companies to recruit our students on a personal level," says Shelley Nix, BHP Staff Director.
As part of this commitment, PepsiCo will have an unparalleled opportunity to interact with the BHP students starting in their freshmen year and carrying through their college career.
