Our 15 Favorite 2012 Commencement Photos
We just can't get enough of graduation. After all, it celebrates why we're all here at the university in the first place. Below, 15 of our favorite snapshots from the BBA, MPA, MBA, and MSTC commencement ceremonies. And while we're at it, here's one more congratulations to the Class of 2012!

Seeing these pictures reminds me of a conversation yesterday with an alumna from 1955. She and another girl were the first two members at UT of Beta Alpha Psi - the accounting honorary society. When the two of them went to their first meeting, they were surprised to see it was held in the MEN's lounge of the student union. As were all meetings the rest of their schooling. She said the other funny aspect was that those guys planned the off-campus meetings, too - always at a steak place - and always with a steak and potatoes menu. She also said IBM hired women in those days, but only if you were single. As soon as you married you had to quit.
So ... I am particularly proud that UT is launching so many women and men into a world of broad opportunities. Juggling professional ambition with family and personal goals is never easy - but at least no one dictates those choices.
