Moot Corp Alumni Share Start-Up Stories, Value of Entrepreneurship Program at McCombs

The Moot Corp competition is the oldest and most prestigious business-plan competition in the country. Recently, a panel of former Moot Corp participants gathered to share insights on topics such as raising venture capital, hiring the right team and how to learn from mistakes along the way. 

Taking part in the panel hosted by Moot Corp Director Rob Adams, were Phil Speros, MBA '01, Halsa Pharmaceuticals; Scott Evans, MBA '04, Chipotle Group; Barry Kahn, PhD Economics '07, and Jiten Dalvi, MBA 2007, qcue; Harlan Beverly, MBA '04, Bigfoot Networks; Daniel Nelson, MBA '06, Phurnace Software; Doug Baum, MSTC '07, MacuCLEAR; and Ranjit Nayak, MBA '07, eVapt.

Very informative session. Useful information. Interesting that all ventures were in the life science and technology sector. I have been working on a very large Agriculture and Energy venture where the investor pool seems less populated. Keep uo the good work.

Such an excellent session. All panel entrepreneurs had great advice and the audience peppered excellent questions throughout. As someone who received in M.B.A. in Entrepreneurship from another University, I'm quite jealous of McCombs :)
